"Greensboro, NC - The Greensboro Farmers Curb Market, 501 Yanceyville St., will host the 14th Annual Farmers Appreciation Day, Sat.Sept. 10, 2016, 8am-12pm, to celebrate local farmers and market vendors with a traditional southern breakfast prepared by guest Chef Alex Amoroso.
The event will be held on the lawn at the corner of Lindsay and Yanceyville Street. Patrons can enjoy a hearty breakfast of Ward’s Happy Eggs, Neese's Country Sausage & bacon, Old Mill of Guilford grits, sausage gravy, fried potatoes, hot biscuits served with Sweet Morning Farm strawberry jam or apple butter, and fresh fruit.
The cost of the breakfast is $7 per plate with proceeds benefiting the Greensboro Farmers Curb Market. All vendors will receive a complimentary breakfast.
Enjoy live music all morning long: The Ol' Folkie, Julien McCarthy will start the day off at 7:30 am. Laura Jane Vincent will be performing at 9:30 am.
Farmers Appreciation Day is sponsored in part by Biscuitville, Craft Insurance, and Neese’s Country Sausage.
The Greensboro Farmers Curb Market has been the community’s favorite destination on Saturday morning for the last 142 years! Start the morning off with a wonderful southern breakfast and show support for all 115 local vendors and farmers who sell at the Greensboro Farmers Curb Market.
Greensboro Farmers Curb Market operates year round on Saturdays 7 am to 12 noon and Wednesday 8 am to 1:00 pm April thru December.
