camping and incredible food
"Asheville,
NC (September 22, 2016)—DRAFT Magazine and Porterhouse Presents introduce
BrewKamp, a new beer, food and music festival experience on the beautiful Lake
Eden Events site on November 4-6, 2016.
The event is a collaboration with Pints for Prostates, a NC based
non-profit that raises awareness among men about the importance of
regular men’s health screenings through the language of beer.
MUSIC
Girl Talk, Robert Randolph and the Family Band, Tribute to Doc Watson, Joe Hertler and
the Rainbow Seekers, That 1 Guy, Simplified, Apple Seed Collective, Hog Slop
String Band, The Lee Boys with special Gospel Brunch on Sunday and many other
artists (funk, rock, bluegrass, Americana, marching bands, New Orleans, gospel,
DJs) will play continuously across the venue’s seven unique stages, ranging
from a one-of-a-kind 5000 capacity Tent Venue mega structure fully covered
stage to intimate bonfire and barn stages. Kampers can also dance the night
away at the Silent Disco tent, with live music featuring That 1 Guy, DJs and
1500 wireless headsets.
FOOD AND
DRINK
Craft beer,
cider, and wine will flow throughout the weekend from custom brewery led
experiences to a mobile bar that travels around the site. Beer lovers can
explore the craft beer scene via unique events like the extremely Rare Brew and
Small Batch sessions in the barns, Homebrewer’s Challenge, Food and Beer Pairing
by guest chefs and more. This is a feastival as much as a festival. Patrons will enjoy global and local cuisine
at the micro dining villages including a BBQ pit, giant seafood and vegan paellas,
wood-fired fare and other top food vendors.
ACCOMODATIONS
The event
will accommodate overnight camping with comfort levels that range from rustic
camping to Glamping. RV and car camping
will also be available. Kampers can also
take everything in while relaxing in a wood-fired hot tub
along Lake
Eden to hiking to amazing views.
LOCATION
Located on
Lake Eden, 15 minutes from Asheville in the Blue Ridge Mountain near historic
Black Mountain, Kampers will enjoy spectacular views and outdoor fun.
TICKETS
Tickets access the full lineup of national musical talent, merchandise
and the Homebrewer’s
Challenge. First Tier Tickets are on sale with early bird pricing Friday
September, 23rd at $55 per day, $100 for weekend day pass and
$145 for the weekend camping pass with car and RV camping at limited
availabilities. Sunday Gospel Brunch that include a feast are $25 or $10 for
Weekend Campers for a Gospel and Cuban Rumba Brunch. Second tier tickets will go on
sale September 30th with the announcement of more headlining
artists!

About Pints for Prostates
Pints for Prostates reaches men
through the universal language of beer to encourage them to take charge of
their health. The group was founded by prostate cancer survivor and beer writer
Rick Lyke in 2008. The grassroots effort raises awareness among men about the
