105.7 Man Up presents Rock & Ride featuring Skid Row & Fuel

Saturday, Sept. 17 - White Oak Amphitheatre - FREE with Paid Fair Admission!

"(GREENSBORO, NC) -  As part of the 2016 Central Carolina Fair Concert Series, 105.7 Man Up presents Rock & Ride featuring Skid Row & Fuel in concert at White Oak Amphitheatre on Saturday, Sept. 17.

The concert will begin at 5 p.m. with a performance by 105.7 Man Up’s ‘Battle of the Bands’ contest winner (http://1057manup.iheart.com/features/battle-of-the-bands-2371/).

The concert is FREE with paid Fair admission ($6 for adults).

Hard rock icons Skid Row formed in New Jersey in 1986. The band enjoyed a huge run of success l in the late 1980s and early 1990s including two multi-platinum certified albums – Skid Row and Slave to the Grind, the latter of which reached number one on the Billboard 200. The band’s long list of hit songs includes  “Youth Gone Wild”, “I Remember You”, “18 and Life” , “We Are The Damned”, “Monkey Business”, and “Let’s Go”. The band’s most recent release is 2014’s Rise of the Damnation Army - United World Rebellion: Chapter Two.

Fuel burst on the national music in 1998 with the release of their critically lauded, debut album Sunburn, with the massive hit single “Shimmer”. Their second album Something Like Human took the band to a new level of stardom, hitting multi-platinum status driven by the singles “Innocent” and “Hemorrhage”, which remained at No. 1 for 10 weeks. In 2014 Fuel released Puppet Strings, on MRI/Red. Catapulted by the first single, the driving, hypnotic “Soul To Preach To”, the album entered the Billboard rock charts at #1.  

The 118th annual Central Carolina Fair will return to the Greensboro Coliseum Complex on Friday, September 9 and run through Sunday, September 18. The Fair will feature spectacular rides, carnival food and games, musical entertainment and attractions for all ages.

Greensboro Junior Chamber Announces New Venue for the 14th Annual Taste Carolina Wine Festival

Festival to be held Saturday, Oct. 1
at White Oak Amphitheatre


"Greensboro, NC – Greensboro Junior Chamber Chairman John Nosek announced that the Taste Carolina Wine Festival will be moving locations and partnering with the Greensboro Coliseum at White Oak Amphitheatre this October.

Tickets are on sale now at www.ticketmaster.com, Ticketmaster outlets, charge-by-phone at 1-800-745-3000 and the Greensboro Coliseum box office.

The event will feature a number of Carolina wineries sampling and selling their wines.  Tickets will include one festival branded wine glass for sampling. Taste Carolina Wine Festival will also include live music and a variety of local vendors showcasing and selling their products.

Over the past 13 years, the event has been held at the Triad Farmers Market. With a new committee leading the charge, White Oak Amphitheatre was selected in order to enhance exposure for the participating wineries, centralize the event closer to the developing downtown and increase overall attendance.

The Committee, which includes Craig Langmeyer, John Riley, Michael Boyer and John Nosek, has decided to partner with the Greensboro Coliseum to better showcase the quality and complexity that North Carolina wines have to offer.

Langmeyer is confident that the new location will, “attract local folks to the event by bringing it closer to everyone in the city.”

The Greensboro Junior Chamber (Jaycee’s) has opted to donate proceeds from the event to the Make-a-Wish Foundation of Central and Western North Carolina and to The March of Dimes.

The Greensboro Junior Chamber is a local chapter of the North Carolina Junior Chamber.  The organization works to develop leadership skills in young professionals, ages 18-40, looking to make an impact on the community through volunteerism, charity and professional development. With 77 years of service to the community, the Greensboro chapter has been recognized as the best chapter in the world on two occasions."

BOSTON ROCKS THEIR 40TH ANNIVERSARY WITH 2016 TOUR and May 5 stop in Greensboro


MAY 5 – WHITE OAK AMPHITHEATRE AT GREENSBORO COLISEUM COMPLEX 

                               
As Tom Scholz wrote in the rock anthem on the BOSTON album Don’t Look Back, "It’s a Party, Party, Party!"  Indeed, the 40th anniversary BOSTON tour promises to be a celebration honoring the group’s loyal fans. Many of them have supported BOSTON since 1976 when the debut album, Boston first hit the airwaves and took rock radio by storm, so it’s not surprising to see concert audiences that span generations.   
The concerts kick off on Friday, April 29th in Hollywood, FL at the Hard Rock Live.  The tour finale will feature a return to their first-ever headline venue in the city of Boston on Sunday, August 14th at the Boston Music Hall, now known as the Wang Theater.

Boston will play Uptown Amphitheatre in Charlotte on Wednesday May 4, White Oak Amphitheatre at Greensboro Coliseum Complex  on Thursday May 5, and Red Hat Amphitheater in Raleigh on Friday May 6. The Tenderloins are the creators, executive producers, writers and stars of truTV’s hit television series, Impractical Jokers.  About to enter its 5th season, the Impractical Jokers follows the Tenderloins’ four members - Joe Gatto, James Murray, Brian Quinn and Sal Vulcano - as they coerce one another into doing public pranks while being filmed by hidden cameras.  With each new season, the show continues to take dares to outrageous levels with new over-the-top hijinks.  During its 4th season, the series celebrated 100 episodes in the US with a live television event, The Impractical Jokers Live Punishment Special.  Hosted by Howie Mandel, the special drew in 3 million viewers with an impressive 150 MM social media impressions.

"THE AVETT BROTHERS announced today that they will be returning to North Carolina’s Greensboro Coliseum Complex for a not to be missed New Year’s Eve Show.

The band has a long history of performing at the Greensboro Coliseum Complex.
