"The Winston-Salem Police
Department responded to the Murphy Gas Station located at 3470 Parkway Village
Circle (near Wal-Mart) on a reported vehicle fire. Upon arrival, officers
located an unoccupied Chevrolet truck in the Northwest corner of the parking
lot on fire. The Winston-Salem Fire Department quickly responded and
extinguished the vehicle fire. No other property was damaged by the fire and no
one was injured during this incident.
Information was received that
this fire was intentionally set and initial findings at the scene supported
this information. The Winston-Salem Fire Department’s Arson Investigators were
called to the scene and assumed the investigation. This investigation is in its
early stages and is continuing.
