Police respond to 2 early Halloween morning shootings

"On Oct. 31 at 1:03am, members of the Winston-Salem Police Department responded to the area of 17th St.and N. Cherry St. along with 17th and Lincoln Ave. on a reported discharging firearms call. While en-route, responding officers were notified of 2 victims who had possibly been shot at these 2 adjacent locations.

Upon arrival, one victim was located at 17th Street and N. Cherry Street and one was located at 17th Street and Lincoln Avenue.  Both victims were transported to North Carolina Baptist Hospital for medical treatment due to apparent gunshot wounds.  Chelsey Alise Orr, a 21-year-old, white female who lives at 3608 Ebert Road, was shot with injuries considered to be non- life threatening by medical personnel. Marvin Samuel Morales, 22, was shot with injuries were considered to be life threatening.

Authorities are looking for a black male, 20-30 who was wearing a green shirt and tan pants. The investigation is continuing and no further information is available at this time.
