Carolina Blues Festival
The Blues Festival this year features Debbie Davies, Robin Rogers, Tinsley Ellis, and many more. It takes place Sat, May 8th at Festival Park in Downtown Greensboro.
Local artist Chris Koenig won the poster contest, with his impressionist guitar-player. The completed poster is at the left.

The Empire Room in Greensboro plays host to a music event this Friday, the 28th (a.k.a. –“Black Friday”) that's certain to cure those Black Friday blues. The Blue Turkey Ball, a rockin' evening of live blues and southern rock, is put on by the Piedmont Blues Preservation Society. They promise plenty of (non – turkey) edibles, a full bar and music from Rob Massengale, Sophisticated Blues, Blues World Order, and Jody Lee Petty. It all kicks off at 7PM and tickets are $15 in advance, $20 at the door. Call 336 340-6547 for more information. I hope to see you there, ready to shake off those Thanksgiving tail -feathers!
